The F.I.G. – Federazione Italiana Gatka (Italian Gatka Federationa), founded and directed by Guru Shabad Singh Khalsa De Santis, is an organization dedicated to promote GATKA, an ancient indian martial art. To this end, F.I.G. organizes daily courses, intensive classes, teacher training programs and worhshops in Italy and abroad and takes part to events such as shows and festivals.
The F.I.G. adopts teachings methods and teacher training programs in according to the GATKA GURU SHABAD SYSTEM®, which merges the traditional GATKA to the long lasting martial experience of the master Guru Shaba Singh, developer of this system.
The F.I.G. is affiliated to the U.I.S.P. (http://www.uisp.it/nazionale/), a national sport association recognized by C.O.N.I (the italian olympic committee).
